We compare bank accounts so you don't have to read forty rate sheets.

banksac.com is an independent comparison site for savings, current, salary, NRI and zero-balance accounts across India's banks. Here's who we are, how we work, and — since this is your money we're talking about — exactly how we make money.

Our story

Started because comparing accounts shouldn't mean forty open tabs

banksac.com started from a simple frustration: opening a bank account meant either sticking with whatever bank was nearest, or spending a weekend cross-referencing PDFs from a dozen different banks just to find out who actually paid a competitive rate.

We built a single place where every account — savings, current, salary, NRI, zero-balance — is described using the same columns, so a 7% rate from a small finance bank and a 4% rate from a large private bank can actually be compared side by side, fees and all.

We're based in Ahmedabad and work directly with partner banks to keep listings current, while keeping the comparison itself independent of who pays us.

The honest answer

How we actually make money

Since this affects whether you can trust what you see on this site, here it is plainly: we earn a referral fee from a bank when someone opens an account after clicking through from banksac.com. That's the whole model.

Referral fee on account opening

When you click "Apply" and successfully open an account through us, the bank pays banksac.com a one-time referral fee. This is standard for comparison sites and doesn't cost you anything extra.

Free listings for banks

Getting listed and appearing in comparison tables costs banks nothing. We don't charge for placement, and every eligible bank we can verify is listed regardless of whether they ever refer a customer to us.

Rankings follow the numbers

Sort order in every table is driven by the column you click — highest rate, lowest balance, whatever you choose. No bank can pay to move up a ranking.

What we don't do

We don't accept payment for a better position in a comparison table.
We don't sell your personal data to third parties.
We don't run third-party display ads on the site.
We don't charge users anything, ever, for using the comparison tools.
What we hold ourselves to

The principles behind every table on this site

Independence

No bank can buy a better position. Sort order always follows the data, not the deal.

Freshness

Rates are refreshed weekly against each bank's published sheet — stale numbers help no one.

Plain language

Fine print gets translated, not buried. If a rate only applies above ₹5 lakh, we say so up front.

No dark patterns

No fake urgency timers, no pre-checked opt-ins, no hiding the "skip" option. Comparison should feel calm.

How we build each listing

Our comparison methodology

1
Banks submit product details directly

Partner banks fill in their own account details — rate, minimum balance, fees, eligibility — through our partner portal, backed by an official rate sheet or brochure.

2
Our team verifies before publishing

Submissions are checked against the supporting document before anything goes live — we don't publish self-reported numbers without a source to back them.

3
Listings are refreshed weekly

We ask partner banks to reconfirm or update their rate sheet weekly. Listings that go stale for too long are flagged for the user, not silently left outdated.

4
Every column is standardized

The same fields — rate, minimum balance, debit card, opening mode — are used for every account regardless of bank, so nothing is compared apples-to-oranges.

Questions we get often

Trust FAQ

Are you affiliated with the RBI or any government body? +
No. banksac.com is an independent, privately run comparison platform. We are not a bank, not a lender, and not affiliated with the Reserve Bank of India or any regulator. We simply compare publicly available account information from licensed banks.
Does opening an account through your link cost me more? +
No — the referral fee a bank pays us comes out of their own marketing budget, not from any charge added to your account. You pay exactly what you'd pay by walking into a branch directly.
Can a bank pay to appear higher in a comparison table? +
No. Sort order is always driven by the data column you choose to sort by — interest rate, minimum balance, or bank name. There is no paid placement option on banksac.com, for any bank, at any listing tier.
What happens if a listed rate turns out to be wrong? +
Always confirm the current rate with the bank directly before opening an account — published rates can change between our weekly refresh cycles. If you spot a listing that looks outdated or incorrect, we'd genuinely like to know; you can flag it from any account's detail page.
